PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League women’s lacrosse weekly awards were announced, with Harvard’s Marisa Romeo taking home Offensive Player of the Week and Penn’s Britt Brown earning Defensive Player of the Week.

• The Ivy League is 43-19 overall in non-conference action, for a winning percentage of .694. The Ancient Eight is .500 or better against eight of the 10 conferences they’ve faced, including the Big Ten, Big East, America East and Colonial.

• The Ivy League is the only conference with three teams listed among the top-10 of the RPI, accomplishing the feat with Princeton (No. 4), Penn (No. 8) and Cornell (No. 10). Those three teams are also nationally ranked in both the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse polls.

• Full Ivy League play continues this weekend, including a pair of top-ranked games involving Princeton, who will take on No. 10 Penn on Wednesday and No. 11 Cornell on Saturday.

• This week features seven games on The Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN), now available on Apple TV and Roku via the ILDN app, as well as four on ESPN3.

Harvard senior attack Marisa Romeo (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished with 13 points in two games to lead the Crimson to a 2-0 week. She posted three goals and four assists in a 17-6 win over UMass Lowell, then finished with five goals and one assist in Harvard’s 19-12 victory over Brown, as the Crimson improved to 4-1 in #IvyLax play.

Romeo receives her third Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career.

Penn senior goalie Britt Brown (Bronx, N.Y.) made her trip home a success, limiting Columbia to just seven goals in a 17-7 Quakers in in New York. The seven goals marked a season low for the Lions and their lowest offensive output since scoring seven against Duke on March 16, 2016. Brown recorded six saves in the win.

Brown takes home her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season (Feb. 27).
