NORMAN, Okla. -- The Harvard men's golf team has been crowned as the 2015 Academic National Champions for Division I, as announced Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
This marks the first time Harvard has turned in the highest GPA in the nation since the award's inception in 2008-09, and is the third time in four years that the program has received All-Academic Team honors.
Brown joined the Crimson on the list of 10 Division I teams that received the President's Special Recognition (3.5 GPA or better). Columbia, Penn and Yale also recieved All-Academic Team honors.
The Bears were the last Ivy team to be named GCAA Academic National Champions in 2013.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
