PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League men’s basketball hits the national spotlight this week with five games against BCS conference teams, including four against Big East Conference foes.
The week’s contests are highlighted by undefeated Harvard traveling to Gampel Pavilion to take on the defending national champions, Connecticut Huskies, in a game televised live on ESPN2. The Brown-Providence and Dartmouth-Notre Dame games are also on the ESPN family of networks as both games will be carried live on ESPN3.com. Princeton at Rutgers on Dec. 7 rounds out the League’s games against Big East opponents.
Two historic programs meet on Dec. 10 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. as Penn takes on UCLA in the second-ever meeting between the two schools.
"Inside Ivy League Basketball" returns for its third
episode on Thursday, Dec. 15. "Inside Ivy League
Basketball," hosted by Dan Loney and
Brian Seltzer, takes an in-depth look at all the
news and notes surrounding Ivy men’s and women’s
basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The
12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on
BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is
available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com.
After the New Year, "Inside" moves to its weekly spot on
Wednesdays beginning Jan. 11, 2012.
Each episode is packed with highlights, statistics and expert
analysis in its 'Around the Ancient Eight' and 'Women's Basketball
Round-Up' segments. With its interview segments 'Program Profile,'
