PRINCETON, N.J. -- Yale sophomore outfielder Tim DeGraw, Penn senior left-handed pitcher Mike Reitcheck and Brown freshman infielder Garrett Delano were selected as the Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as the first weekly honorees for each program during the 2017 campaign. 

LEAGUE NOTES

  • Dartmouth and Cornell sit atop the Red Rolfe and Lou Gehrig Division standings, respectively, at 4-2 on the year. Harvard also boasts a winning record at 5-3 thus far.
  • Six Ivy League pitchers have tallied two wins, including a pair from Dartmouth (Michael Danielak and Beau Sulser) and a pair from Cornell (Paul Balestrieri and Tim Willittes).
  • Danielak, Sulser and Dartmouth reliever Chris Burkholder also own 0.00 ERAs on the year. Penn's Mike Reitcheck joins them with a 0.00 ERA through 16.2 innings this season.
  • Sulser leads the League with 18 strikeouts, while Burkholder and Cornell's Jeb Bemiss sit atop the conference with two saves each.
  • Cornell's Dale Wickham paces the Ivy League with a .519 batting average and six doubles through six games played.
  • Yale's Griffin Dey tops the League with four home runs, eight runs scored and 14 RBIs.
  • Harvard's Trent Bryan owns a League-best .824 slugging percentage and paces the Ivies with two triples in 2017.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Yale sophomore outfielder Tim DeGraw (Rye, N.Y.) hit .294 with five hits in 17 at-bats as the Bulldogs posted a 2-2 week with wins over Stony Brook and Saint Joseph's.

The Rye, N.Y., native tallied eight RBIs and also scored two runs over the four-game week. His best effort came on March 11 against Saint Joseph's, when he went 2-for-6 with a triple, a run scored and five RBIs. The sophomore also added a stolen base and two walks on the week.

DeGraw is the first Yale student-athlete to be named Player of the Week since Kevin Fortunato on March 13, 2012.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Penn senior left-handed pitcher Mike Reitcheck (Crystal Lake, Ill.) tossed 16 2/3 innings of shutout baseball for the Quakers in his first two starts of the 2017 campaign.

The Crystal Lake, Ill., product scattered six hits across 7 2/3 innings en route to a no decision against Valparaiso on March 7. He then tossed his first career complete-game shutout on March 12 against Fairfield, allowing just four hits in the win. Reitcheck struck out 12 batters on the week, while conceding just one walk. Against Fairfield, he retired 18 of the last 20 batters he faced.

Reitcheck is the first Penn pitcher to earn Pitcher of the Week honors since Ronnie Glenn on March 31, 2015.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brown freshman infielder Garrett Delano (Callahan, Fla.) hit .500 in a three-game set at No. 12-ranked Texas A&M.

The Callahan, Fla., native led the Bears with six hits and a .833 slugging percentage on the series. Delano tallied a double, a home run, a stolen base, a run scored and two RBIs against the Aggies. The freshman hit safely in all three contests, but his best performance came in the series opener when he went 3-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base, a run scored and two RBIs.

Delano is the first Brown student-athlete to be tabbed as Rookie of the week since Bobby Leyman on March 15, 2016.
